Ararat Christian School is an orphanage Christian institution that was established to empower the communities of Wakiso District and Uganda in general through providing quality but affordable education to the less privileged children. We currently enrol learners from kindergarten 03 years to Grade seven (15 years).  

Ararat Christian School is located in Lugo village, Nansana Municipality, Wakiso District, Uganda East Africa. (28.3Km from Kampala) along Gulu Hwy.

Background

Ararat was established by Gideon Kabenge in 2017 after spending six (6) years, taking care of orphans and homeless children. Ararat Christian School’s vision came as a result of a need to support, educate and develop vulnerable children/families like orphans, street children, victims of violence and or child abuse among others due to effects of high prevalence of HIV/AIDS among the population. Gideon Kabenge having grown up as a street orphan, decided to use his testimony to take the heart of God to the wondering, suffering and starving children/ families. And as a result, Gideon and his wife Susan agreed to use their family small savings, a piece of land plus offering to sell off their family house and car to start the orphanage school.  The project has now ministered to orphans, single mothers, youths, HIV positive Ugandan citizens plus housing 36 homeless children who are fully under Gideon’s care.
